Springing Forth with Color

Look what got added to my springtime vignette in the great room nook….

daffodils4

A pot of colorful daffodils to help brighten my day!

They were mere buds on Wednesday when I brought them home from the grocery store,

but since then, they have opened and brought a smile to my face.

daffodils 1

Love the little trumpet smack dab in the middle of the bloom.

There are still more buds just waiting for a yellow explosion of color to bust through.

I’m sure they’ll open soon.

.daffodils3

Do they make YOU smile?

~~~~~~~
It will still be some time before I see little shoots of color making their way through the still frozen ground in our backyard.
Until then, these will more than suffice.
So much so, that I think I’ll be traipsing back to the market for a few more pots of color.
Maybe some tulips in lavender or red…..
Daffodils are so pretty - Yes they do make me smile. :D Your mosaic makes me smile also - very pretty! Saw some at the store last week, but they were all bloomed out and knew they would not last long, so passed them up.
Enjoy your week.
Love them Sue! I always wonder when I see clumps of daffodils blooming along the side of the highway, how in the world they got there. Mine, in my yard, are just popping up. I was out looking today in the planters, scouring for little tiny hints of green. :) Have a wonderful week. xo
Lovely addition. I was tempted to buy some this week, but most looked pretty spent already. I need to remember to plant some myself next year.
Your vignette looks like spring.
I love the daffodils....there is a house close by us and they have hundreds and hundreds of them that pop up every spring....Half of their lawn is covered with them....so colorful and pretty....I am waiting to see if my Poppy seeds that Salmagundi Sally sent me bloom...I'm hoping if they do appear that my landscaper doesn't think they are weeds and pulls them...
Yes, Daffs are my favorite flowers! I have my supermarket daffodils on my kitchen table too. After the blooms die back I'll plant them in the flower bed for more blooms next spring. Love your photos and mosaic. Happy Spring!
