Does Your Fur-baby Deserve This Palace?

pet bed

OOPS- Sorry for the blur-  I snapped this on the run. Hope you can still get the idea….

Furniture is “going to the dogs ( or cats…)!”   I saw this “Pet Palace” in one of the showrooms at the High Point Market a few weeks ago. Someone’s special pet could enjoy a very luxurious bit of down-time in this little abode.  Even at a wholesale price tag of  $450, it would be expensive slumber!  I would imagine that some boutiques would price this at $1000 or more.

And  to think that I thought people who carted their animals around in pet strollers were carrying things a bit too far….     *smile*

I'm with you, Sue! Dogs need exercise, and while it's not nice to chain them to a house in the backyard, I think this is the opposite extreme. They don't need designer clothes, organic food and other silly, expensive stuff. They need love, exercise, a comfy place to sleep (on the floor) at the foot of the bed, regular vet checkups and nutritional meals.
The rest is just silliness. Thanks for the giggle and photo.

Well if I were to show that to my Maggie she would probably roll on the floor laughing and I can't imagine what Mr. Hubby would have to say. Now my daughter and her little Eli...that might be a different story. Thanks for today's chuckle.

I do admit I treat my fur babies like kings and queens. But I'm not taking it that far!

Love love love the pet palace!! What a cute idea... wish I had room for one but I think those days are over!

Big hugs, Sherry

It's cute... but I don't think my little guy would like it only because it is covered. My pets are spoiled rotten and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, that is really crazy! All my spoiled rotten fur babies want is my warm lap! They also like a warm throw over the top of that too! Hugs, Patti

Wow, Sue, I don't think so. I will not ever be spending that much on my pets. Don't have it anyway.

I don't have a pet right now, but even if I did, it would not be sleeping in that. :D

Nope, my dogs live a more realistic life. You know... the blanket fell on the floor? Well someone knocked that down for me to lay on(plus it's easier for mom to wash). What, there is food kind of sticking out of the trashcan, or it is about a foot down? No problem, I know that was left for me, I'll just be tidy about getting it out and eating, courteous you know. And Oh, Brooke left xyz out, well, I might just have to chew that to smithereens, she kind of irritates me at times.... That's more like the life my dogs live.

Ha Sue, my Soph said no way because her mama and daddy can't fit in there with her. She says she will just keep her king size bed where all of us are cozy and comfy. :)

I'm with your first commenter Donna on this one. Dogs just need love, exercise and a comfy place to sleep.

Well since our dog, even at the age of 8, still occasionally decides to chew up his bed, I guess he won't be getting this! Our kitty would just as soon sleep on our bed. :)

Sue, thank you SO much for your very, very kind words on my blog today. So nice of you.

I have several cat trees for my fur kids and still they prefer the windowledge.
On my Mom Cave contest post I show some pet furniture options. I am not fooled. They only ones who would use them would be the stuffed animals. My fur babies prefer pushing me off my own pillow.

I adore my little dog... but...Can you imagine! My daughter teaches in an charter school in DC where some children don't even have beds! Maybe someone should buy these precious children a real bed and let their dogs sleep on an old towel or rug!
Makes me think!

My cats would not get in it...they would sit on TOP of it! So, no special palaces for my little divas! lol

I do know people who have this sort of thing though...

My cat would still prefer my lap :)

Our poor pets. We just don't value them that much :-) Of course, most of our furniture is hand me down or second hand, so I'm not spending it on us either :-)

That is one fancy dog house. I have to say it is beautiful though. It would look great in someones house.

No fur babies here!
Sad with so many homeless, people shell out that much for a pet.
