Playing with Mosaics…

fall collage

Picnik collage

I’ve spent waaay too much time this week playing in Photoscape and Picnik, learning to create mosaics. It’s fun to combine programs, since not all of them do the same things.

These collages were made using pictures from last year’s post, Fallin’ Into Fall.  While I’ll  probably never achieve the success that Laurie has had creating her mosaic masterpieces, it sure is an adventure trying!  Thanks, Laurie, for your help and tutorial. Check it out on her blog sidebar if you’re interested.

I’m still working on getting this year’s fall decorating done. It would probably be done if I’d stop playing around so much on this darn computer….   *grin*

If you’d like to see more fall decor, click HERE or on  the mosaics.

I’m linking to Mary’s Mosaic Monday. Hope you'll pay her a visit.

Hey, great job! I also love to "play" with photos but it really does take a long time.

Very Pretty! You did a great job. I have not done any Fall decorating - to much time on the computer and making jewelry.

Hi Sue!

I enjoy playing with the photo programs too. I find that downloading Photoscape has slowed my computer considerably though.

You did a fine job on your mosaics. Have a fantastic day! La

Hey Sue, I think your mosaics turned out great! I especially like the edges on the first one, it kinda looks like beveled glass!

Yes, Laurie is the Mosaic queen but I'll bet even she would be impressed at how well you did!

I don't have Photoscape (unlike everyone else it seems), but I have Paint and Microsoft Digital Image editor, and yah I could spend hours playing around with photos too! Still discovering new tricks I can do with it!

Have a nice day! It's cool, cloudy and a bit windy here today! Definitely feeling like Fall!

Hugs, Sherri:)

Beautiful Fall mosaics. I like the second one the best because it has more contrast.
Fall is such a beautiful time. I'm glad Summer is over. Thank god for the changes....

You've done a great job, Sue, the pictures look so festive all together in the mosaic! I always tell myself I will look into this fancy, artsy stuff when I have time, because I KNOW it will take me a long time to learn it. I'm really bad with computers and am lucky I can blog! lol!! Thanks for sharing and compliments to Laurie!

Playing with graphics is so much fun but it does take a lot of time. I get so lost in it hours go by without me realizing it!

Everything looks so good! I don't have many fall things out yet. While I love fall, I may be the only person still hanging on to summer. It went way too fast and I know after fall comes the dreaded winter. Wasn't it just yesterday we were freezing? Not looking forward to it!

Sue, I think you've already zoomed past me in the mosaic making craft! Those look so good! I'm so flattered by your remark about me, and thank you for the link to my blog, but honestly, you did all of this on your own. I'm going to have to sharpen my mosaic making skills! laurie
