The Snow Has Begun…

snow 1-7-10

snow 2

snow 3

What a perfect day for settling in with a hot cup of tea, the aroma of bean soup simmering in the slow cooker, three more Christmas trees to take down, and the multitude of bins and boxes that need to be filled with decorations.

Oh, and I un-buried the snow-blower!    *smile*

I tried commenting once but it didn't work. Here we go again...It's snowing quite a bit here too and hubby has been snowblowing. Kids are home from school. It's pretty but I hope it's not too bad tomorrow 'cause Twin and I need to travel in it to get our hair highlighted. Lord knows I need it BAD. Have a happy day!

We got snow last night, but no where near that much. We ended up with a heavy dusting. Tonight will be the problem when the wet streets freeze. Think I will go put a post of soup on - sounds good.

I made white beans and ham yesterday in the crockpot - perfect for snowy days. The way the news has been you'd think we were getting 5 ft of snow not 3-5 inches! Its a perfect day to curl up with a good book and look outside and enjoy the beauty

The snow photos are all so lovely. We're cold and dreary with lots of fog, not so pretty! Enjoy your soup, it sounds wonderful.

Happy New Year Sue! Sounds like we could be neighbors. We are up to about 30" of snow. Schools have been closed for two days mostly because of our bitter cold temps. I also have a pot of "white lightning" bean chili in the crockpot!

It is snowing here in the deep south!! Just a dusting so far, but it is laying and it is beautiful! No one down here OWNS a snow blower! Would a leaf blower work??

Stay warm!!

Sue, your photos of the snow are so pretty - especially since I can just look at them on my computer and not have to experience the temps you must be having! Hope you are feeling better. Stay warm. laurie

Yes it definitely is snowing. Good call. I am glad you got the snow blower free from the garage. Now pull starting it may be aerobic exercise.
You will need that yummy soup for sure.

Hi Sue,
We got about 5 more inches of snow today and currently my car is stuck in our driveway! I think I've had enough! Stay warm and cozy! Cindy

Within the hour, it has begun to snow here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It is suppose to be just a skiff and that is just fine after the 3o inches we had the weekend before Christmas. It is still lingering here in full force due to the terribly cold temperatures. I thought I loved all four seasons, but I am not sure at the moment about this one.
