Outdoor Wednesday

Outdoor Wednesday is hosted by Susan @ A Southern Daydreamer .

One of our adventures during our spring trip to California took us to Big Sur and Pheiffer Beach.

I never expected to see such craggy rock formations .

The waves crashed against the sharp rocks and made walking on them a bit slippery and precarious.

This small inlet encroached onto the sandy beach.

We picnicked at the base of this hill and had the perfect spot on a group of flat topped rocks that served as our make-shift tables.

Water gushed through this opening which helped feed the small inlet shown below.

The ocean water was a bit cold but we ventured out into it, anyway.

The seagulls pestered us for food all throughout our lunch and they weren’t afraid to come right up to us and beg for scraps of bread.

Good Morning Sue, Love your pics of the beach in California...the one pic of the opening in the rock reminded me of the movie "A Summer Place" with Sandra Dee.....maybe they filmed it there!

The seagulls pretended to be interested in the food, all the while hoping to be featured with these fabulous photos.

These pictures are just gorgeous When we lived in CA, I so adore the coast line. The lasttime we were out there we drove from LA to SF along Highway 1 and what a treat it was. I long to return and do that again showing it all to Grace now. Dan has sweet memories of that Summer.

You take beautiful photos sweetie...

So, will be on next week?? I probably should NOT have posted what I did but I heard from 7 peole on my rolls that were also targeted so felt I should say something. Who ever the person is they need to get a life and are no real worry to us, just annoying. I hope our buddy will see that. She needs to quit worrying about it...for her sake as this person is just nutty and no threat to any of us. But I hate that it happened to her. : (

Hey Sue, wish something felt remotely cold here! It's 100 degrees in the shade. These are gorgeous photos. What beauty there is in such natural surroundings.
